Calling all middle and high school students in Gilroy!
Your voice matters. Your creativity matters. And your perspective can hep shape a safer and stronger community.
The Gun Violence Prevention Committee invites you to participate in the WE ALL PLAY A ROLE art contest. A space for young artists to express, inspire, and spark change through art.
What’s the theme?
What role do you play in creating a safe community?
This is your chance to reflect on your experiences, your hopes, and your ideas for a safer Gilroy community.
What can you submit?
We welcome all forms of visual art, including:
Painting, Drawing, (pencil, ink, charcoal, etc.).
Digital Art, (printed)
Mixed Media
Collage
Graphic Design
Photography
Sculpture
Pottery
Let your creativity lead!
Prizes
1st Place: $500
2nd Place: $300
3rd Place: $200
Selected artwork may also be featured in community spaces, campaigns, and events.

Culminating Art Show with Prizes for Winners: First Friday, May 15h, 5pm to 8pm, Neon Exchange, Ballroom
